Burner new to Auckland looking for community

Hello NZ Burners. I am from San Francisco and am a 7 time Burning Man goer. . . I am new to Auckland and would love to find community. I love to dance and would actually love to find some fire spinners in the area if there are any. . . . I'll definitely be at the Kiwi Burn next year, but can't wait that long to find good friends in this amazing country. Where are you??

    kiwi here...yep thats what they call me....4 x's burningman...

    so, i'm not in auckland as such but am on waiheke island in the hauraki gulf...35 minute ferry ride from down town auckland
    there is also a bunch of burners in and around the auckland area that i'm sure would love to meet you..when they wake up from their collective weekend hangovers

      *Barely waking up from collective weekend hangover mentioned above*

      Hey! There is a fire spinning night on Tuesday when it gets dark at Basque park (close-ish to city centre). I went for the first time this year last Tuesday, and it dosnt seem to be cold enough for them to stop yet. They provide buckets of stuff to dip your fire toys in and someone comes around with a koha (donation) hat. If the weather is doin ok tommorow, then i will probably go and try drag other burners with me, forecast for the week looks bad though, goodbye summer :-(

      Oh oh, do you like dubstep?! Cuase there is a sweet gig on Friday night and if you like dubstep, then you should definatly go. :-)

    Having also recovered from collective weekend hangover.................. WELCOME to NZ. I'm a poi spinner, glow poi usually. I don't rate myself enough to play with fire yet, although I have on a few occasions usually when somebody else *winks at Hana* passes me theirs. I too like to blow shit up, not as much as Kiwi though. I'm making my first pilgrimage to Burningman this year.... Wooohooooooo. I live in Greenlane, not far from Hanas flat, & the infamous View Rd flat that many of the other Jafab (just another fucking Auckland burner) burners inhabit. So rock on, and hopefully you'll get to party with all of us soon! Although truth be told we haven't stopped partying since Kiwi Burn yet!
