I can suggest a macrobiotic diet, it is very healing and nurturing. Coming into winter, a raw food diet may not be the best thing for him as it is too cold, which does not help the healing process at all. You can find out more about Macrobiotics if you google it, or i know this excellent woman (my mother) based in Tauranga, and also visits Auckland once a week aswell, who is a naturopath among many other things and can probably help or definatly refer you to someone appropriate.
